If we have learned anything during this last year, it’s that we all want to slow down, connect with our loved ones and go with the flow rather than rushing around all the time. So if you have memories of jam packed day trips to Inis Mór where you had to run to make the last boat home … why not make new memories … ones that involve watching the sunset over the sea while eating & drinking with friends? Sound good? Well then, it’s time for an island escape. So why not turn your day trip to Inis Mór into something more at the Aran Islands Hotel, where you can Eat, Sleep, Explore, Repeat.

EAT

Eat (& drink) at Madigan’s restaurant, where we serve up the finest steak in the West of Ireland (ok, maybe we are a bit biased) for dinner and lots of locally sourced wholesome goodies to suit all tastes.

The Aran Islands Hotel is the perfect place to tuck into a tasty lunch mid-adventure. On hot days, you can dine outside overlooking the Wild Atlantic and on more ‘Irish’ days (ha ha), you can cosy up by the open fire and warm your belly with an Irish whiskey. Top tip – we only serve dinner after the last boat leaves the island, so to have the ultimate dining experience you must stay overnight so grab one of our last remaining Seaview Chalets this summer HERE.

Ring us on 099 61104 to book a table in advance for lunch or dinner.

SLEEP

Staying overnight in one of our Seaview Chalets is truly the best way to experience the island way of life. You can sit back on your outdoor deck and watch the rush for the last boat while you sip away on a pint of Guinness or whatever you are having yourself!

‘The island comes alive after the last boat leaves’

Our Seaview Chalets are a huge hit with visitors, they are built on a naturally elevated site to make the most of Island & Seaviews. We added to our chalet family last year, so we now have what looks like a little village of chalets surrounding the main hotel. All overnight stays include a cooked to order breakfast in the hotel, which for those staying in the chalets, is just a few steps away.

EXPLORE

There’s so much to explore on Inis Mór, you really do need more than a day trip to take it all in … with ease. In the video you will see the Filming Tourist visited some of the most popular places on the island, which was only possible because they stayed overnight.

Near Dún Eochla, they visited the highest point of the island where you can see far and wide. The wormhole is just a short walk across the cliffs and is the most stunning scene in real life. It is a naturally formed pool within a cliffside, where the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series was held here twice before.

Dún Aonghasa, of course, is a popular spot. Don’t forget to grab some creamy ice-cream or man of aran fudge as a snack for the trek up to the fort. Nearby, you can dip your feet into the clearest water you have ever seen at Kilmurvey Beach, just one of the many almost tropical looking beaches on the island.

REPEAT

Picture this… you wake up to stunning views after a sound sleep in our Seaview Chalets. Throw back the curtains, open up the double doors and crawl back to bed to wake up in your own time … the ultimate ‘snooze’ button! Then once you have fuelled up on a tasty breakfast, you can begin exploring the island at your own pace once again.

We are the only place on the island where you can enjoy a tasty home cooked meal with a drink of your choice from our bar and rest your weary head after a day of adventuring in a Seaview Chalet just steps away from the nearest beach.

WARNING – our 2 night stays are all booked out for summer 2021. So if you want a summer escape to Inis Mór, grab one of the last remaining one night stays in July & August. Very limited dates available.
